I am currently a Ph.D. Student within the department of Computer Science at the University of Washington, advised by Professors Katharina Reinecke and Max Kleiman-Weiner. I am broadly interested in Responsible AI, and Human-AI Interaction.
Currently, my research interests are twofold: I aim to (1) improve how human moral values are modeled within intelligent systems and (2) understand how human perceptions of AI systems affect their decision-making processes.
Throughout my undergraduate and master’s degrees I was supervised by Professor Ali Farhadi and mentored by Sarah Pratt within the RAIVN Lab. My previous publications in addition to my posters, talks, and panels explored moral value through the lens of multimodal machine learning systems.
In addition to research, I am very passionate about teaching and service. My overarching goal for all of my work, is to mitigate the risks and social injustices of emerging technologies while creating systems that facilitate improved human decision-making capabilities. For an exhaustive catalogue of my work, please view my CV.
My work has been generously supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, the National ARCS Foundation Scholarship, and the GEM Fellowship.
